SUMMARY:
  • Seeking a self-motivated Business Analyst/Project Manager who will be responsible for maintaining and executing technology strategies by managing IT and business resources, researching and implementing technology solutions, interfacing with internal business stakeholders and external business/technology partners, and planning projects designed for specified business outcomes. This position is in a dynamic growth environment with multiple projects occurring in parallel and with multiple interdependencies. Most of the projects involve transforming the business to a modern technology environment, adhering to accepted business and technology best practices in the retail and related industries
 
 
 JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Research business problems and develop solutions that address needs.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and remediate risk of re-occurrence of business problems.
  • Drives and ensures execution of requirements management plan and analysis practices.
  • Ensure meeting business users expectations and build a rapport with customers.
  • Work closely with business, development and testing to ensure business needs are identified and met.
  • Provide coaching and guidance working with team members.
  • Based on initiative will conduct meetings to discuss status and health of projects with key stakeholders
  • Assist in managing all facets of application and technical projects to ensure deliverables are met within schedule and quality goals.
  • Experienced, gathering and documenting BRD, and functional and technical requirements along with creating process flows.
  • Schedule meeting to drive initiatives, create agendas, and capture and distribute minutes, action items for all project initiatives.
  • Provide daily, weekly, updates
  • Meet with customers to compile and clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Responsible for the accuracy of deliverables
  • Conduct and manage risk assessments
  • Maintains and improves organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
  • Develops estimates, timelines, and resource requirements for business requests (projects or enhancements)
  • Provides timely and accurate status reports to the business and leadership, and manages risk
 
  • Helps establish /update project standards and procedures where appropriate
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Accomplishes IT project staff results by communicating project role expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining project team members; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
 
 
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related area
 
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5 years in Project Management
  • 5+ years’ experience as business and/or system analysis
  • PMI or PMP certification a plus
  • Retail experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
  • Ability to adjust quickly to schedule changes and priorities
  • Works well independently
  • Organized and detailed oriented
  • Excellent Communication skills
