SUMMARY
  • The e-Business manager role is a highly visible position for our client in executing the day to day operations of Grocery Online Shopping and Delivery. We are looking for an individual looking to translate their EDI/mapping and website design experience into this new initiative. This is a hands-on position working with internal departments (merchandising, marketing, finance), our member retailers, and with our third party e commerce provider (Instacart) to provide a robust, accurate, and state-of-the art on line shopping experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The e-Business manager duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and maintain mappings, configurations and programs to ensure proper functioning and recommend/institute changes where necessary.
  • Serve as First Point of Contact with eCommerce service providers to pro-actively manage any service changes, service interruptions, incidents, and upgrades.
  • Manage, Maintain and Ensure all product content, images and retail storefront information contained on eCommerce are processed in an efficient, expeditious, and accurate manner in coordination with the Data Integrity department.
  • Monitor and measure order performance, order fulfillment, sales, and profitability of e-commerce products vs. budgeted goals and objective; identify opportunities for improvement and growth to ensure performance is at or above budget levels..
  • Manage eCommerce platform enhancement approved projects to deliver high quality, on-time improvements.
  • Lead development & modifications of customer landing page & microsite launches to drive optimal business performance; analyze performance and customer feedback; respond to customer inquiries and optimize the consumer experience
  • Assist with internal teams in the development and coordination of key sales tools to support this Channel - Content, Images, Video, and reviews to maximize sales.
  • Drive the development of packs/products/configuration of ecommerce specific SKUs that create channel differentiation
  • Review analytics and recommend changes to key account product assortments and sku listings based upon current product performance trends
  • Partner closely with IT project manager to ensure business requirements are clearly documented and understood as part of both the business process design and solution design document.
  • Participate in all testing phases with service providers and IT to ensure quality delivery.
  • Support and contribute to overall eCommerce strategy and roadmap by monitoring industry trends, competitive insights, and internal opportunities
  • Perform daily selling platform website audits and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and optimal consumer experience
  • Establish eCommerce Key Metrics for reporting on stability and performance of platform, customer feedback (through multiple channels), store execution and results and present to Senior Management.
  • Identify root cause and solution options to correct any identified issues based upon day to day operations or Key Metrics or Declining Trends.
  • Analyze sales reports and evaluate category specific performance and make product/sales recommendations
  • Drive all required coordination and serve as first point of contact between Merchandising, Advertising, and Marketing for eCommerce, to define and execute go to market strategy between channels (in-store and online)
  • Perform Data-driven decision making for promotional planning, pricing execution and optimization
  • Follow, Research and Present Trends within Grocery eCommerce including platforms and service providers as well as competitive analysis to influence future business needs
  • Training and supporting merchant stores as they set up items for the store front.
  • Assist help desk to diagnose and solve high priority
 
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, computer science, business and or e-commerce environment
 
EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND:
  • 2-5 years of experience working in major e-commerce marketplaces for a retailer or CPG company
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in managing data flow integration between various systems
  • 1-3 years of experience in data mapping and logic within Electronic Data Interchange
  • 1-3 years of experience in website design and content management; including wireframe markups.
  • Knowledge and Experience in the design of data structures to store and organize data and algorithms used to manipulate the data in those structures, including mapping the interface of those data elements to an external service provider (XML and JSON).
  • Knowledge and Experience in the storage and delivery of digital assets in a cloud environment utilizing JPEG or PNG format and proper DPI resolution
  • Experience in utilizing SDLC (software development life cycle) to drive quality implementations is a plus.

  • Strong Analytical Skill with attention to detail
  • Self-starter able to work independently and produce high quality deliverables sometimes with little direction
  • Must be both analytical and and creative and embrace the opportunity of a constantly changing and growing business landscape
  • Must have both business and technical acumen to serve as a liaison between IT and other business functions
  • Must be organized and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn, internalize, and apply to solve issues
