Our firm, Intermedia Group, a US based Staffing Firm, has the following open position at our client:
 

TITLE: Financial Services Operations Specialist

 

LOCATION: COPPELL TEXAS (zip 75019)
TYPE: Contract
WORK HOURS: 10 am ET - 7 pm ET M-F (with occasional weekend coverage)
CLIENT: Fortune 100 Financial Services Firm
PAY RATE: $23 – $25 per hour
 
NOTE: Manager is looking for someone with A FINANCE BACKGROUND.  They do not need to have a lot of experience, manager will train.
 
Position Summary: 

 
  • The Specialist is a key front-line position in the group. Specialists perform all routine and complex functions and handle exception processing as appropriate within guidelines defined by the management team. They may coordinate assignments and workflow but are not responsible for staff development, coaching, or performance management. 
     
Principal Responsibilities: 

 
  • For the Global Trade Repository (GTR) Operations: 
  • Performs and monitors day-to-day processing activities related to the control functions of the GTR. This involves monitor inbound and outbound queues and delivery of report output. 
  • Assist existing customers with queries relating to GTR functionality, transmission, submission, and reporting. 
  • Ensures strict adherence to procedures and critical time frames. 
  • Coordinates with internal partners including Technology, Product, On-Boarding, Connectivity and other teams. 
  • May handle basic administrative processes 
     
  • For the Trade Information Warehouse (TIW) Operations: 
  • Performs verification of periodic DTCC published data and other regulator reports 
  • Perform verification of static data coming from Vendors (including calendars updates and Markit static feed 
  • Ensures strict adherence to procedures and critical time frames 
  • May handle basic administrative processes 
 
Experience: 
  • Financial services experience in operations preferred 
  • NOTE: Manager is looking for someone with A FINANCE BACKGROUND.  They do not need to have a lot of experience, manager will train.
  • Hands-on experience in derivatives preferred but not required 
     
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) 
  • Ability to work as part of a global team 
  • Well organized, able to set priorities, and achieve goals 
  • Good customer service skills 
  • Good PC skills and thorough knowledge of relevant applications 
  • Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, identify processing risks and to communicate with staff, senior management, and customers
