TITLE: FOH (Front of House) Restaurant Manager.
LOCATION: Meat Packing District, NYC
 
Revel Restaurant and Garden (www.revelnyc.com), located in the heart of the Meat Packing District is seeking a talented FOH Manager whose primary focus shall be the selection, training and management of service staff as well as client relations and satisfaction.
We need a personable and efficient manager with excellent communicative skills and able to cooperate with the other managers.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the ongoing creation, implementation and subsequent staff training in systems, methods and processes that contribute to great execution. 
  • Ensure that all operational functions of the restaurant (expense, budgets, restaurant maintenance, inventory, staffing and training) are met and executed. 
  • FOH staff recruitment (hiring, performance reviews, terminations)
  • Motivate and inspire restaurant staff. 
  • Hold each person accountable for results and performance. 
  • Enforce standards, policies and procedures with restaurant staff. 
  • Prioritize and organize work assignments and delegate work. 
  • Motivate and inspire restaurant staff and maintain a cohesive team. 
  • Ascertain restaurant training needs and provide such training. 
  • Interact with our guests and provide exceptional guest service. 
  • Assist in scheduling and labor management. 
  • Assist in managing food, liquor, and labor costs. 
  • Assist in maintaining all equipment. 
  • Ensure a safe operation of the restaurant and maintain safety/security concerns as necessary. 
 
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience working as front of house/floor manager/service manager in a fast paced, high volume, fine dining, or casual fine dining restaurant.
  • An unparalleled commitment to hospitality and customer service. 
  • Constant focus on labor cost, food cost and supply cost.
  • A motivational leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and leads by example.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and manage staff.
  • Strong knowledge of service, food, wine, and spirits, and the ability to train staff in all areas.
  • Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in a high-pressure work environment.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, and the ability to multitask.
  • Prior experience with Events Management (management and coordinating of Events staff) is a plus
  • Willingness to grow and learn.
