TITLE: Customer Solutions Engineer – Pre-Sales (MPLS VPN IP, SIP, SDWAN)
TYPE: Hybrid (2-3 days in office)
LOCATION: State Street (Downtown NYC)
TARGET COMP: $115,000 - $135,000 + 20% sales bonus incentive

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our customer is seeking a Customer Solution Engineer to work in a client facing role, based in NJ/NY, who supports channel sales program exclusively covering all of the firms products including Connexus Ethernet, Extranet/WAN, Voice and SDWAN. This role has global responsibility. This role will work closely with regional COA, pricing and network planning teams to formulate proposals that is optimized for each customer request, balancing technical design excellence against cost of delivery.

We are looking for a candidate with proven track record in presales serving Channel, Carrier or Tele-communication industries, one who will gain respect from colleagues and customers. Extensive and in-depth knowledge in MPLS VPN IP, SIP, SDWAN, Carrier Ethernet are essential to take on this exciting and career enhancing opportunity.

This position will allow flexibility to WFH some of the time, with specific work schedules being set at the manager’s discretion. This position will require occasional travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Delivering presentations, design workshops, responding to RFP’s and preparing solutions and bids as well as on-going life cycle account support.
  • External 3rd Party/Partner interaction – working with the eco system in co-operation with 3rd party consultancies and resellers and service providers.
  • Working with Account Executives to drive closer of business
  • Discover, understand and define customer requirements
  • Position the benefits of the firms solution in the context of the target use case
  • To respond to a broad range of technical questions.
  • To design a customized solution by optimizing standard company products
  • Prepare, host and deliver tailored customer presentations.

EXPERIENCE: 
  • Five years or more experiences as a pre sale engineer.
  • Experiences in Finance or Telecommunication Industries are a major plus.
  • Degree in Computer and Network Technology or Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
  • Industry certifications in Cisco, Nokia or Juniper is a plus

TECHNOLOGIES: 
  • Carrier DWDM Optical Technology and Carrier Ethernet Technology
  • Public Cloud Access Knowledge and Private Cloud Hosting Solutions (SaaS and Iass)
  • MPLS VPN IP Networking including Routing, QoS, NAT
  • VoIP including SIP and RTP to support voice applications (SBC skills is a plus)
  • IPSEC, SDWAN and Security

SKILLS: 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Be a team player, willing to listen, eager to share knowledge and willingness to help
  • Excellency in analytical and creative thinking

Education: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in EE, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent is desirable.
