The Vice President of Technology owns the company’s technology vision, ensuring it supports business growth, scalability, and competitive advantage. The VP creates and executes a forward-looking technology strategy, aligning it with organizational objectives, and ensuring the timely execution of a robust technology roadmap.
The VP combines strategic vision with a hands-on expertise to drive technology initiatives aligned with organizational goals, ensuring sustainable growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities: Strategy:
Owns the company's technology strategy in alignment with its business goals including the scalability of our technology, and its competitive advantage
Partners with the CEO and other executives to make informed decisions about technology direction and investments ensuring ROI
Develops and manages the Technology portion of the yearly budgeting process ensuring effective cost control measures
Prepares build versus buy due diligence and decision matrix as needed
Leadership:
Builds and mentors a high-performing technology team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability
Ensures individual and team performance via objective based KPIs
Technical Management / Execution:
Ensures timely delivery of work product , within scope, and on budget per the company roadmap
Owns the architecture and implementation of the company’s Client Facing and Enterprise Level products suite based on platforms such as SalesForce and Microsoft Azure
Ensures compliance with relevant regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and industry standards
Aligns operations with one or more IT Management Frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF) and IT Security Frameworks (NIST, ISO)
Vendor & Outsourcing Management:
Leads the selection, negotiation, and management of relationships with vendors for outsourced projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Evaluates and oversees third-party services and integrations, including data providers and service partners, to optimize performance and cost-effectiveness
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
15+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a focus on strategy and operations
Proven enterprise level expertise with Salesforce, including customization, integration, and administration
Is subject-matter expert in Salesforce customization, integration, and administration
Is a subject-matter expert in data architecture, especially around Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and Azure Cosmos DB
Familiar with one or more IT Management Frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF) and IT Security Frameworks (NIST, ISO)
Extensive experience in the FinTech space, with knowledge of financial systems, payment processing, and risk management technologies
Has built teams responsible for creating and scaling software products in both customer facing and Enterprise Level settings
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing distributed teams
Deep understanding of IT governance, compliance, and cybersecurity best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Azure and/or AWS (not Google Cloud)
CRM Ownership (SFDC preferred)
Prior success scaling devops for rapid growth
