This position is with our client’s Adhesive Technologies business unit – where they empower our people to transform industries and provide their customers with a competitive advantage through adhesives, sealants and functional coatings.
What you´ll do
- This laboratory-based position is focused on meeting the technical needs of our flexible packaging customers with innovation and technology pipeline in conjunction with our BD team.
- Extensive knowledge and experience within the flexible packaging from formulation to application of adhesive and coatings
- Works closely with Business Development and Product Development to meet the technical needs for markets within our flexible packaging industry.
- Connect with external stakeholders (suppliers, customers, research institutes) to support development initiatives.
- Putting forth and testing ideas that support proliferation of breakthrough technologies.
- Is the recognized expert in industry trade associations, develops new to the world data/white papers to promote the company's expertise externally.
- Establishes and leverages external networks and partnerships (research/suppliers/OEM/boards/industry).
- Develops and manages key innovation/application projects. Understand the latest flexible packaging technologies.
- Assists running pilot scale lamination and coating equipment to validate new innovative ideas and scale up to customer sites.
- Testing and market introductions of new products and new technologies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10 plus years of flexible packaging industry experience either in application engineering or product development.
- Application methods/development.
- ***30-50% travel requirement.
- Technical Writing: Ability to create clear, accurate, and well-structured documentation, manuals, and process guides for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Reporting: Proficient in compiling, analyzing, and presenting data-driven reports to support decision-making and performance tracking.
- Presenting: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver technical presentations to internal stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams.
