IDEAL CANDIDATE
Ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in the OR running a robotics program in a surgical environment with high (600+) surgical case load.
HOSPITAL: 53-bed (Seven main ORs and two GI procedure suites) - the first robotic surgery program in the state,

Robotics Excellence: Three da Vinci XI systems with master surgeons who proctor nationally
High Surgical Volume: Over 600 cases per month — the highest in the system
Comprehensive Scope: Oversight includes OR, GI, PACU, Pre-op, and Pre-admission Testing Clinic

OVERVIEW: Join our client’s team as a day shift, full-time, Surgery (OR) Director of Nursing in Albuquerque, NM. RESPONSIBILITIES:
The nurse director is a professional registered nurse with twenty-four-hour responsibility for assigned departments within established standards to achieve the mission and vision of the organization.
The nursing director is responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit/departments and executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
The nurse director provides leadership and mentorship in the development of leaders and staff.
The nurse director is responsible for monitoring and evaluating quality, patient satisfaction, and employee satisfaction outcomes to implement strategies for improvement.
The nurse director is a change agent and will establish strong collaborative relationships with physicians.
Responsible for overall administrative, financial and clinical activities of assigned departments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's in nursing from an accredited school of nursing is required.
Certification in a clinical specialty or nursing administration, preferred.
Current RN license or a current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Requires strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Minimum of five (or 3-5) years’ clinical nursing experience, of which 3 (or 2) years must have been in a management capacity.
