DETAILS:
We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to join our client’s R&D team within Pharmacy Automation team to serve as a subject matter expert in their field with depth and breadth of experience, knowledge, and skills.

The Pharmacy Automation portfolio covers a wide range of hardware and software technologies from storage and dispensing robots, vision solutions, pouch packagers, vial filling systems, blister card production systems as well as central fill solutions and enterprise pharmacy management software solutions. 

As a Senior Product Owner, your top three primary responsibilities will be:
  1. championing product management strategies via the elicitation and refinement of software product requirements,
  2. collaborating with Software Delivery Leads to solution software product requirements into features and stories, and
  3. delivering solutions to market that delight our customers and drive business value.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage the software product backlog consisting primarily of features, stories, and product defects to ensure that the work defined for the development team is meaningful to the customer, yet realistic and attainable. Balance candidate scope items via prioritization in collaboration with the cross-functional core team. Consider risk factors that could affect scope, schedule, and/or resources, and inform adequate contingency plans for potential issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Software Delivery Leads, and Core Team Members to manage portfolio scoping, coordinate release activities, and partner for value delivery.
  • Champion product quality via constant collaboration with the engineering and QA teams to ensure timely, quality delivery of product increments.
  • Perform the requirement engineering process throughout the software development life cycle which includes eliciting, documenting, analyzing, and harmonizing functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Support agile processes such as sprint planning, feature and story reviews and estimations, and incremental delivery.
  • Play an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of release and sprint goals, providing governance for change management, and recommending adjustments to plan when necessary.
  • Facilitate scoping of software requirements to align product roadmaps with scope delivery.
  • Lead system design reviews for assigned portfolio, gather inputs from other functions.
  • Support quality by ensuring the testability of requirements and the ongoing review of test cases and defects.
  • Lead verification and validation with user acceptance testing for their cross-functional project team which includes UAT planning, execution, and reporting. Support beta launch activities including site selection, authoring success criteria, and documenting outcomes.
  • Liaise with the Service and Support teams to ensure escalations are managed and defects are triaged, prioritized, and remediated. Provide third-line support to diagnose and resolve production issues.
  • Execute work within company processes and procedures including engineering tools (requirement management, escalation management, etc), Design Controls, Product Lifecycle Management, Configuration Management, Phase Reviews.
  • Act as a key contributor in a complex environment while working independently with minimal guidance.
  • Contribute to Intellectual Property generation that protects the portfolio and improves market position.
  • Share expertise with others.
  • Follow our competitors and our industry; keep abreast with Agile/Scrum standard processes and new trends.

Skills and Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles; experience working in Lean/Agile software development teams
  • Experience using product management and development operations tools such as Aha!, Azure DevOps, or Jira
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinker with a vision
  • Attention to detail
  • Domain experience in Pharmacy or Health care

Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required
  • 5+ years of applicable experience
