Our client is currently in search of South Ingot Area Coordinator to join our Rolled Products division in Alcoa, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
The primary focus of this role is to lead safe work practices, implement efficiency gains, and create systemic and sustainable systems for the Production Teams and Ingot Production Supervisors in order to meet all key business objectives.
This entails safely producing the short-term plan, making important policy and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementations of operational policies and procedures for future growth.
This position reports directly to the Ingot Area Manager.
Key Objectives
Demonstrate flexibility to grow with the organization as it evolves to create more efficient, higher functioning teams and systems.
Promote and implement the EHS management system and ensure continual improvement of EHS performance in day-to-day operations. This includes compliance to all Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
Utilize personnel and equipment in the Operations area to meet production objective at the highest quality and service at the lowest possible cost.
Maintain an ongoing knowledge of manufacturing processes, operations, and quality standards to help ensure the utilization of the best production methods and meeting of quality specifications.
Coordinate and prioritize work according to business needs related to monthly production goals, casting recovery, and scrap utilization.
Participate in and contribute to the development of people, process, and product improvements, new processes and new products and lead in cost reduction efficiency improvements to improve customer satisfaction.
Oversee all operational activities and housekeeping efforts in the department to ensure employee and equipment safety.
Understanding of the monthly forecasting process, inventory usage and procurement processes.
Human Resource interaction and skills are very important. Proper documentation is required to ensure direct reports are being properly trained, promoted, or counselled.
Qualifications
High School Diploma
10 years of heavy manufacturing experience, ideally in metals, with at least 5 years of supervisor/leadership experience - Can have less experience if they have a bachelor's degree.
Experience with furnaces or molten metal processes.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis and Reliability Excellence methodologies.
