TITLE: System Engineer (C3I&N) w Secret Clearance
LOCATION: Hanscom AFB / Bedford Massachusetts 
CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active US DoD Secret Clearance
Seeking a System Engineer to provide technical support for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Hanscom AFB. 
  • Develop and manage multiple engineering processes, tools and programs for a 2,000+ person organization. 
  • The mission of the supported organization is to provide engineering oversight and policy to execute Air Force acquisition programs in the area of Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence and Networks.  These programs will be developed and deployed in direct support of the Air Force’s operational mission. 
  • Coordinate the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) topic generation process. 
  • Interface with Subject Matter Experts to develop programmatic requirements. 
  • Recommend topic selection to Senior Leadership. 
  • Track selected topic ideas through entire life-cycle development process. 
  • Manage the Organization’s RIF program for quick-turn, operationally oriented opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with the organization’s subordinate leaders to generate Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) topics focusing on capability gaps. 
  • Review topics and provide recommended rankings to Senior Engineering Leadership prior to submission. 
  • Manage Directorate annual engineering awards program. 
  • Manage the Organization’s Engineering Self-Assessment Program (SAP). 
  • Manage and implement the organization's SEAM efforts. 
  • Lead the Directorate STINFO (Scientific and Technology Information) engineering program across the organization, including designing and developing the guidance and implementation policy documents, training and reporting processes.
  • 10+ years experience including in-depth experience in a system engineering role including at least 3 years supporting a DoD program. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 
  • Experience working on each stage of the system development life cycle from initiation through deployment/sustainment. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with process modeling and developing workflow diagrams. 
  • Able to elicit and interpret requirements and translate to technical specifications/system design following best practices and design patterns. 
  • Able to communicate with management, technical staff, and end users in a clear and professional manner. 
  • Possesses the knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to System Engineering. 
  • Possesses the ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and processes related to area of expertise. 
  • Shall also possess the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program/project guidelines. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present technical presentations. 
  • Able to represent complex data in diagrams or through other techniques that communicate precise information to both business and technical staff. 
  • Proven ability to understand the strategic and tactical approach to projects and handle multiple projects concurrently. 
  • Must be a US citizen and hold an active Secret.
