OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Fighter Fielding Team Lead to support the F-15 and F-16 program office within the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate under the ETASS program at Eglin AFB.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to the F-15 and F-16 System Program Office (SPO), AFMC, ACC and the International Programs Office at Hanscom AFB for various fielding support efforts for LINK 16 on the F-15 and F-16 fighter aircraft.
- This support includes: test, engineering and fielding support to AF Link 16 platforms including F-15, F-16, B-1, B-2, AWACS, JSTARS, GTACS and others.
- Plan, implement, and monitor the fielding of LINK 16 to other countries.
- Provide sustainment and continuation training to all USAF active duty, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve platforms.
- Provide software integration and test efforts of the Multifunction Information Distribution System (MIDS) on the F-15A-E Operational Flight Program (OFP); F-16 OFP, development of operational/technical requirements for F-15A-E OFP and future OFPs for the F-16; analysis of interoperability issues/meetings/efforts involving the F-15 and the F-16; on-site technical assistance to support both Boeing and Lockheed on current F-15 and F-16 development efforts; and technical assistance to resolve LINK 16 problems/issues during development, testing and operational fielding.
- Provide training to Wing/Unit Link 16 managers, Wing/Unit COMSEC managers and key fill operators in order to support network operations and the correct secure data unit (SDU) locations for key.
- Provide unit managers with training in setting up the JUMPS Mission Planning System and the unit network library.
- Assist with on-site MIDS operation problem resolution and assist with follow on support in order to provide problem resolution 24/7 worldwide.
- Provide support necessary to successfully execute Block Upgrade 2 Initial Fielding Support which integrates BU2/MIDS JTRS terminals on selected platforms.
- Provide extensive pilot and maintenance training in order to ensure successful implementation.
- Attend key planning meetings for NATO and other allies in order to ensure LINK 16 interoperability with allied fighter aircraft and Combined Air Operation Centers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 years experience in engineering including military aviation.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Operational flight experience in current fighter aircraft required.
- Current operational fighter weapons and tactics experience required.
- Must have Link 16 experience.
- Experience with fighter pilot training desired (RTU, TRS, SQIP, etc).
- Flight test and flight test management experience desirable.
- Experience in new equipment fielding and/or modification management desired.
- Must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
