Intermedia Group is currently staffing for an Engineer, Journeyman to support SAF/AQR, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Science, Technology and Engineering, at the Pentagon.
AQR develops and implements plans, policies, and procedures for Air Force S&T, laboratory management, technology transition (to include Joint Capability Technology Demonstrations), Technology Cooperation Program, technology transfer, development planning (DP), and experimentation. It establishes engineering policy and guidance for Air Force systems, subsystems, and end-items; leads the Systems Security Engineering activities that include the identification and protection of critical program information (CPI) and functions, elimination or mitigation of cyber vulnerabilities, and program protection planning. AQR also establishes policy and guidance for the development, implementation, and operation of the Air Force airworthiness assurance system.
. The tasks for this position include:
Studying, analyzing, and providing recommendations on requirements, acquisition strategies, program documentation, program phase transition plans, supplemental information, and program execution
Providing Honest Broker assessments of programs approaching milestone decisions and of prime contractor technical and operational issues
Researching and providing technical analysis for the preparation of programmatic documentation and responses to Congressional, DOD, Air Force Secretariat, and/or Air Staff
Researching and analyzing program trends, identifying issues, and recommending solutions
Performing technical studies on individual weapon systems, weapon system integration and capability areas
Analyzing weapon systems architecture and integration and identify issues
Identifying operational deficiencies and other key issues, conducting research to develop alternatives and providing recommendations and support for resolution
