This role is ideal for an experienced Behavioral Health or Substance Use Disorder Nurse Manager or Supervisor looking to take the next step into a Director of Nursing position with strong mentorship and support.
ROLE: As DON, you'll oversee nursing operations and set the clinical standard for the facility:
Lead and manage nursing teams to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care
Provide coaching, development, and mentorship to nurse leaders and staff
Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and state regulations
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning
Monitor clinical outcomes and drive quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support treatment goals
Participate in leadership meetings and support strategic decision‑making
REQUIREMENTS:
Active RN license (Texas)
BSN strongly preferred
3+ years RN experience (6+ preferred)
Behavioral health nursing experience: 1 year required, 2+ preferred
(inpatient, outpatient, psychiatric, addiction recovery, or related)
2+ years of progressive leadership or management experience required
Prior DON or Nurse Manager experience preferred
