Ideal Candidate
- Must have a Master's Degree in Social Work
- Must have a California Clinical Social Worker License
- Minimum 2 years experience working as a Social Worker in an acute care/hospital setting.
- Minimum 2 years experience working as a LCSW in Care Management of a hospital
- Minimum 2 years experience working with the Medicare patient population related to Discharge Planning
- Minimum 2 years experience working directly as a Hospital Social Worker or Hospital Discharge Planner
Job Description
- This is a full-time position that will work 8-hour Day shifts.
- Lead Clinical Social Worker LCSW within our clients Care Management Team in their 430 bed hospital in Torrance, CA.
- Under general supervision, the Lead Licensed Clinical Social Worker, performs all duties of the Licensed Clinical Social Worker, including but not limited to, providing psychosocial assessments, counseling, information and referral to inpatients and outpatients and their families, while working collaboratively with medical and paramedical staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree From an accredited School of Social Work.
- upon hire: California Clinical Social Worker License or upon hire: California Marriage and Family Therapist License.
- 5 years' Experience as a Master of Social Work.
- 4 years' Experience in health care setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years Supervisory/management experience in a social agency.
