Human Resources Manager, SME  (DoD Secret Clearance)

Intermedia Group, A US based Executive Search Firm, has the following open position at one of our Defense Industry Clients:

TITLE:  Human Resources Manager, SME 

LOCATION: BOLLING AIR FORCE BASE

SECURITY CLEARANCE:  Current DoD Secret (will consider interim)


NOTE: this role is focused on the government civilian work force.  The civilian work force experience does not need to be only within DoD.  It can be within any federal agency  or secretariat (e.g. DHS, HUD, HHS, DOI. Labor, etc.)  Candidatemust have an active DoD Secret clearance.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be part of a team in support of a 5-year Staffing and Technical Acquisition Services Support (STAQSS) contract for the Headquarters Air Force. This opening is for a Human Resources Manager, SME position supports overarching acquisition workforce management as well as career field management for scientists, development engineers and program managers.
  • The tasks for this Human Resources Manager, SME position include:
  • Developing policies and guidelines for the effective recruitment, retention, development, and sustainment of the Scientific, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) workforce in support of acquisition and technology
  • Proposing creative and innovative human resource management practices supporting the current and future technological requirements of Air Force acquisition and sustainment
  • Supporting the Air Force career field management and force development processes for the civilian and officer program management, scientist and engineer career
  • Developing strategies and approaches for encouraging continuous learning and career development approaches that engage members of the workforce in processes designed to ensure the development of future leaders in the career
  • Soliciting and defending requirements for advanced academic degrees in the sciences
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Extensive experience working government civilian personnel management.
  • Experience directly supporting civilian workforce personnel policy.
  • knowledge of the DoD HR policies as they pertain to civilians working in the military is a MAJOR PLUS
