Need someone who has experience as a maintenance scheduler in a manufacturing environment
Some technical experience/mechanic experience, they will not be fixing the equipment but going on the floor to estimate jobs, understanding what it takes to fix equipment
MUST HAVE experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), (i.e. Maximo, Oracle, SAP, etc)
Position is generally M-F from 7:00am-3:00pm or 8:00am-4:00pm, could receive some calls after hours
JOB DESCRIPTION: The purpose of the Maintenance Scheduler's role is to minimize total maintenance costs by maximizing maintenance work force efficiency and productivity through detailed planning and scheduling of work orders. The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of manpower, parts, material, and equipment access. This position maintains liaison activities between Production and Maintenance Departments.
Your Day-to-Day:
Develop scope of work, cost estimates, and job requirements of work requesters
Schedule work, update the maintenance plans and include work instructions to each plan.
Open Maintenance plans in CMMS and update information such as equipment numbers, maintenance classification, budget item, or shutdown PM Place occasionally purchase requisitions for labor/materials and follow up on orders and delivery scheduling
Working with Maintenance leadership to improve work order planning and scheduling process by reviewing maintenance metrics
Responsible for scheduling Maintenance PM Shutdowns and equipment requiring maintenance
May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
Closing out work order with regards to ensuring time is entered and parts are checked out.
Update production and scheduling with maintenance plans and production equipment availability
Ability to schedule work notifications based on priority and availability of equipment.
Coordinate various maintenance planning meetings.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School/Technical School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of technical/mechanical and electrical work experience
Background in maintenance planning and scheduling experience
SAP knowledge is preferred
Ability to utilize and understand CMMS
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, and rotating equipment
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Basic understanding of electrical equipment and electronics and a solid understanding of the interface between electrical and mechanical equipment preferred.
Ability to understand ISO requirements, inspections and audits
Strong time/ project management skills
Solid organizational skills
Must have 24/7 availability
Availability to respond to any emergency situations outside of normal schedule Minimal travel required (0-10 days per year)
