Program - Acquisition Analyst Support

Intermedia Group has the following open position with our client:
 
TITLE: Program - Acquisition Analyst Support
LOCATION:  Picatinny Arsenal, Wharton, NJ
TARGET COMP:  $80,000 + benefits
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the Business Office Staff by generating financial reports, database management and GFEBS analysis.
  • Reporting and data analysis is a major part of this job function – reports generated include WTCV and RDTE BLIN, DetailSSN, reports weekly and  at EOM – also WTCV and RDTE fiscal year Execution Plan, SEP top level, SEP Detail SSN, Canceling year BLIN, Canceling Year Detail SSN at EOM – CONOPS (WTCV only) and Report 8 (RDTE only) at EOM. UMT (unmatched transaction) and Open Commitment Reports are created the first week of the month. There are also requests throughout the year for ad-hoc reports such as Manpower Reports or a partial report for one of the reports mentioned above. All above reports involve extracting data from GFEBS into MS Excel and parsing the data then storing the data in MS Access except the UMT and Open Commitment Reports.
  • Maintain the continuity of work processes within Business Management Information System to integrate with external electronic data sources to include, Acquisition Database, Life Cycle Cost Estimate (LCCE), Program Budget and Accounting System (PBAS), Systems Applications and Products (SAP), General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Standard Operation and Maintenance Army Research and Development System (SOMARDS) and other contracts as needed.
  • Integrate information technologies and enhancements to Business Management Information System software into GFEBS and develop new IT business reporting solutions. Provide maintenance, system enhancement and/or refinements to the PMSW Business Office dashboard. The data is stored in MS Access databases and software is written in Visual Basic. Access Forms and queries are utilized for data filtering and report generation.
  • Perform on-site support for the Business Office Business Analyst assisting in troubleshooting data problems that may occur such as UMT’s (unmatched transactions) and ULO’s (unliquidated obligations.). Create new and improve current management dashboards to maintain focus on important metrics and works on complex projects which will require original thinking and new approaches. Develop new IT reporting solutions and enhancements to the dashboard for needed financial data as requested by the users.
  • Perform as SME throughout the integration of GFEBS into the Business Office dashboard. Create variants (queries) in GFEBS to extract data and port to MS Excel, the data is then parsed, scrubbed and loaded into MS Access and used for reporting purposes.
  • Provide on-site data population, maintenance, system enhancement and/or refinement and training.

  • Provide training to the user community on how to generate reports and how to interpret data displayed on generated reports.
  • Participate in a joint review with the Government to address progress, performance, and answer any questions that the Government may have with the PM SW Business Management Information Systems/Reports.
  • Get involved with the users in discussions in regards to requirements and needs for possible reporting enhancements to the dashboard. Assist the Business Analyst in troubleshooting data problems.
  • Set up MS Excel spreadsheets to assist users with generating annual spend plans and also get involved with inputting the data into GFEBS.
  • Support the PMSW Business Office dashboard and generate enhancements and modifications as requested.
  • Perform data validation once reports are created.
  • Provide program information to data records received from other departments using data extracted from GFEBS.
 
Required Experience
  • Proficient in EXCEL – familiar with formulas experience with pivot tables a plus.
  • Familiar with databases preferably ACCESS
  • Knowledge of GFEBS and a government security clearance a plus
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic
  • Familiar with developing new IT business reporting solutions.
  • Excellent people skills must be able discuss solutions with analysts and act as SME for the business office.
