JOB TITLE: Associate Program Analyst, Education With Industry (EWI), Journeyman, (AQH)
CLEARANCE: Current DoD Secret
LOCATION: Pentagon
TARGET COMP: $90,000 + full benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This position will assist the “Education With Industry” (EWI) PM with matching students with companies, performing site visits of companies, ensuring student’s administrative needs are taken care of (Leave, Travel, In Processing, Out Processing, Legal reviews, etc.), answering inquiries on the EWI program, responding to student questions, managing stakeholders’ interests in the program, and helping with the strategic vision of the EWI Program.
  • The position supports the Director, Acquisition Career Management, SAF/AQH and the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT/CIG)
 
The tasks for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Build and maintain all Education With Industry (EWI) student and other program records
  • Review and provide feedback to EWI student’s deliverables throughout the program, such as: EWI Student Work plans, EWI student travel plan, three quarterly reports, Insight to Industry Paper Drafts and Final papers, EWI student training reports, EPRs, MFRs, and enlisted LOEs.
  • Help plan and direct the EWI events throughout the year.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Be able to organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements.
  • Identify problems and use sound judgment and decisions to generate and evaluate alternatives and make recommendations.
  • Knowledge of acquisition workforce policies and guidelines for effective retention, development, and sustainment of the acquisition/STEM workforce
  • Study, analyze, and provide recommendations for workforce strategies and initiative development.
  • Make recommendations for the allocation of funding, operational budget execution, establishment of program goals, objectives, and schedules to assist in the formulation of program direction.
  • Support DoD/HQ AF policies and track compliance with stated program direction.
  • Study, analyze, and provide recommendations for workforce strategies and initiative development.
  • Encourage and foster new ideas and potential mentoring with students.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance 
  • This person shall have a Bachelor’s in any discipline and a minimum of 5 years of AF/DoD experience, preferably in Acquisition, Training, or Personnel.
  • Solid understanding of the Air Force acquisition workforce and Air Force acquisition organizations. (looking for someone that understands the staff and experience needs of the acquisitions team, not someone that is actually doing acquisitions work)
 
Desirable Characteristics:
  • Familiarity with Defense Travel Service (DTS)
  • Graduate of the EWI program
  • Some travel 4 – 10 weeks per year (estimate)
  • Excellent skills in the Microsoft Suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • SharePoint knowledge
