IT/IS experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization. This is a hands on technical and managerial role, strong technical (infrastructure and application support) background is necessary for the success of this role.
JOB OVERVIEW:
Strategic and hands on IS leader, delivering technology solutions tosupport business process efficiencies on a global scale.
Partners with business and IT leaders to identify business and technology objectives, associated information technology requirements, associated value, and develops the implementation plans to achieve defined goals.
A strong technically savvy leader that can help grow/develop internal team and manage external service providers and internal central service teams.
Owns and directs IS planning, strategy and budget management across 10+ global manufacturing, distribution, and office locations.
Collaborate with Industrial business process owners and key decision makers across Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance and other functions to delivery world class information technology services.
Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal and external providers.
Project manager for IS strategic projects. Coordinate IS service delivery between the IS Global staff, GBS IS Regional Groups, Local IS Managers, and business operations – drive implementation of standard tools.
Work closely with the IS Director to align IS strategy globally.
Accountable for ensuring that the necessary IS controls within the business unit are in place and meets or exceeds the Company’s compliance and internal control requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and deliver on Information Technology strategy. Align IT, business, and other resources around the goals, objectives, and delivery of the strategy.
Managing the delivery of IS services across global operating locations.
Coordinate division IS, business unit and centralized IS resources to deliver day to day services and projects.
Meet budget/spending targets and metrics.
Deliver common information solutions in an environment that grew by acquisition and is historically decentralized.
Manage simultaneous projects across multiple sites and disciplines with competing priorities and diverse business models.
Guide IS strategy and project implementation across all global locations.
Provide operational leadership for the delivery of strategic initiatives, including ERP upgrades, adoption of cloud technology, CRM solutions, and project management for on time / on budget / on scope delivery.
Manage annual IS spend, including operating cost, chargebacks, and capital projects.
Own the IS capital planning process; guide and approve all IS-related capital expenditures.
Advocate and implement the Corporate IS strategy as established by the CIO Lead Team
Leverage the use of centralized services across locations.
Recommend and implement common systems solutions covering all locations and functions
Drive the implementation of common processes across locations, particularly in ERP, EDI, Reporting and Quality systems.
Drive ERP systems consolidation onto common platforms (ERPLN);
Lead the IS function during inorganic growth/acquisition opportunities; manage strategic integration projects to implement standard infrastructure, financial and customer reporting, software tools, and compliance processes.
Lead global organization of employees, dedicated central resources, and contractors. Ensure the growth and development of the global IS staff through continuous learning, development, succession planning, and exposure to diverse operations and projects.
Provide input to evolving factory automation strategies; ensure IS participation in building and securing shop floor networks, process control systems, and manufacturing execution systems.
Provides training to others in areas of assigned expertise.
Build up knowledgebase and staff skills to support standard suite of applications
Guide and teach IS team to use their knowledge to help provide business solutions
Complies with ITAR and IMEX requirements in areas of accountability.
Ensures that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required. Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Business Administration, is preferred.
IT/IS experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization. This is a hands on technical and managerial role, strong technical (infrastructure and application support) background is necessary for the success of this role.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
