  • The incumbent will be a skilled marketer with strong knowledge of the US healthcare system that will be relied upon to inform go-to-market launch planning for a novel Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency brand.
  • Activities will be bespoken to each commercial opportunity but will include, but not be limited to, market shaping activities, exploration of biomarkers or other diagnostics, ecosystem building, patient services offerings and supporting the development of new or enhanced service lines as appropriate.
  • In addition, the candidate will engage with healthcare providers (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs) and work with their global counterparts to develop campaigns across multiple channels and mediums.
  • This highly impactful role requires leadership and stakeholder management skills including ability to influence the organization cross-functionally including medical, sales, market access, legal, compliance, and people & culture (human resources).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Across the Rare Disease Nation, we have launches over the next several years and this role will be expected to provide product strategy expertise for the Alpha-1 Antitrypsin launch; one team, common goals, single mission. In the newly formed organization, this role will report to the Head of Marketing. 
  • Implement a strategic roadmap for the new Alpha-1 Antitrypsin product launch
  • Inform the key aspects of the go-to-market approach for an asset that considers the end-to-end needs of commercialization and the coordination of associated functional plans.
  • Identify critical success factors for launch and develop relevant engagement plans (with tactical collaboration); drive implementation of the plan and monitor execution
    • Generate key insights and develop strategic recommendations to advance market shaping efforts along with measuring key performance indicators
    • Collaborate with Value and Access who is responsible for conducting payer market research and develops pricing models using competitive data and relevant analogs to recommend pricing options and strategies.
    • Partner with Value and Access to evaluate market trends and sensitivity models to maximize product access based on optimal price points.
    • Partner with Value & Access/market access on key areas to develop PIE activities intended for non-Payer customers
    • Partner with global marketers and agencies to develop branded and un-branded campaigns and assets with a best-in-class omnichannel approach, underpinned by market analysis and competitive benchmarking to drive ROI
    • Partner with and influence cross-functional stakeholders such as medical, market access, go to market capability (GTMC), to prepare the market for upcoming immunology launches. Work in conjunction with global immunology teams and align with the global marketing and launch strategies

Requirements
  • Commercial and business acumen: the successful candidate will have a strong track record in the pharma/bio-pharma industry driving commercial success and launching new products
  • Specialty therapeutic experience is required; immunology knowledge and experience is a plus
  • Relationship management, conflict resolution and ability to work collaboratively, along with strong organizational and operational skills
  • Data and insights driven decision-maker; able to distill large amounts of data and information to find the lead story and communicate it effectively to others
  • Global experience and/or prior international assignment a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree a plus
  • 10+ years of relevant healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency experience a plus
