IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
3 years of experience in control systems/electrical engineering
Local or Commutable to Richmond, IN
Job is 50% firefighting % 50 projects
Process control experience would be great – driving improvement in water and compressed air systems. (big gap)
Providing back up to the other EE.
Would send to Honeywell C300 or C200 experience (good candidate for us) not a deal breaking
Allen Bradley – needs to have great understanding – device net/control net experience
Would like someone with controls knowledge.
control networked systems (industrial networking).
DCS/SCADA – controls people with know (ignition/Wonderware) general understanding
DETAILS:
The Electrical and Controls Engineer II will execute plant support, troubleshooting, and lead improvement projects for the Richmond, IN facility and support capital projects as needed.
This role will assist the Richmond plant in meeting or exceeding stated operational, environmental, and safety goals.
Mentor Junior Engineers and Electricians as well as providing training.
Will handle plant projects from start to finish on a broad range of industrial electrical and control system manufacturing projects, including scope documents, engineering calculations and designs, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, project justifications, and project training and documentation.
Your Day to Day:
Ability to perform power, electrical & control systems engineering for all aspects of projects.
Prepares and reviews technical electrical specifications for equipment, processes and projects.
Troubleshoot and correct operational issues
Participate in/lead root cause corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence of issues.
Provide on-call support to plant operations for electrical and controls issues.
Assist in review and implementation of Corporate Specifications and Standards.
Track and prioritize issues in conjunction with other departments.
Prepares and reviews technical electrical specifications for equipment and processes projects.
Assist facility with manufacturing operations as well as execution of electrical safety initiatives.
Maintain good communication with management and project customers regarding project status, problems, and changes.
Coordinate, review, provide oversight, and manage external engineering resources and consultants as needed.
What You Bring to the Team:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with a minimum of 3 years of experience in control systems engineering in a continuous and/or discrete manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated electrical and control system engineering capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to provide solutions to basic project and process engineering problems.
Solid knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI applications (including programming) along with communications within enterprise and control networked systems.
Knowledge of DCS/SCADA systems
Must be able to read/understand electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
Demonstrated project management skills
Demonstrated knowledge in the application of the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace - arc flash energy and shock hazards.
Ability to manage and support multiple (1-3) projects simultaneously
Demonstrated capabilities in working collaboratively with internal and external engineering resources.
Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated drive and initiative to complete assigned tasks and investigate and seek out improvement opportunities.
Ability to design and execute projects within North America.
Requires travel (10%)
Preferred Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in the engineering and implementation of 480V (Switchgear, Power Distribution Panel, Motor Control Center) and 4160V Power Distribution Systems.
Knowledge in Honeywell systems (DCS).
AutoCAD/electrical experience
