TITLE: VP, Capital Markets – SOA Policy and Procedures
LOCATION: Jersey City, NJ

Overall Purpose of Job: 
·         Carry out the efforts required for design, development, production implementations and support of Capital Market Systems in accordance with the Banks SOA policy and procedures.
·         Analyze the current state in order to create the design, definition and documentation of business requirements and associated technology and processes.
·         Carry out business analysis and assist developers with business knowledge and subsequent testing of systems.
·         Support the coordination of project test plans with the business users.
·         Provide status and implementation recommendations to superiors.
·         Prepare own and review other’s full documentation in accordance with SOA policy and procedures. 
·         Interface with Traders, Risk Managers, Middle Office Comptrollers and Back Office in all aspects of business requirements gathering and development.
·         Responsible for the development, maintenance of applicable documentation.
Essential Functions:
·         Create, (and assist users with) current state evaluations, business specifications, flow diagrams, analysis and requirements design, supporting technology, supplying business knowledge, functional recommendations and evaluations as required.  
·         Coordinate and conduct tests and program implementations, test assignments thoroughly and confirm the results with business users.
·         Provide functional support and guidance to developers, collaborating to satisfy the technical vision while balancing functional usability needs (e.g., design reviews).
·         Make or update documentation when processes are changed or modified in accordance to PLC and SOA Standards, and fulfill administrative duties such as weekly reporting, QA Change Mgmt Documentation, meeting minutes.  
·         Develop and carry out supervisory approved training programs.
·         Experience of the financial industry, in some or all of following products: OTC (Interest Rate, Credit or FX) and listed derivatives (Futures & Options), fixed income products (bonds, repo, etc.), foreign exchange, structured financial products and risk management. 
·         Experience in back office processing flows and/or Accounting and Regulatory Reporting (in order to support IFRS).
·         Must proactively communicate and collaborate with multiple sources to analyze needs, constraints and functional requirements.
·         Additionally, experience with use cases (UML) and/or dataflow diagrams, understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), project lifecycle, code documentation, databases, etc.
·         University degree, or equivalent, with at least 5 years financial industry experience, working with front, middle or back office.
