SUMMARY:
The Sr Director of IT is responsible for planning and executing all corporate and restaurant technology solutions.
This role will work closely with the CIO to form strong cross functional partnerships with our leadership team, lead and mentor our members of our internal IT team, manage all IT vendor relationships, and provide guidance and support to our franchise owner/operators.
Candidate will have extensive experience with best-in-class cloud infrastructure and security practices.
They will display strong leadership, accountability, and ownership qualities with the mindset for taking initiative and rolling up their sleeves when needed.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of restaurant operations and technology solutions that drive brand engagement, drive cost efficiencies and profitability, in a compliant and fully supported environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Team with senior and executive leadership on the application of standardizing both current and new business technologies, systems and processes.
Identify and evaluate vendors to understand whether products and solutions will meet business needs as well as proper technical requirements.
Creates and implements a high performance, customer focused team that supports and strengthens IT project and service delivery.
Participate in evaluation of established technologies and assessments of how to streamline and drive efficiencies, invest in new platforms to support innovative business approaches, and evaluate/retire legacy platforms as appropriate.
Design and implement best practices to achieve stated business objectives, advise on risk assumptions, and provide alternatives to achieve desired end results.
Prepare and maintain technical specifications and related documentation for all core systems and networks including backup and DR planning.
Participate in technology policies, processes, and cybersecurity measures to ensure effective and consistent operations and to safeguard assets and information.
Develop, communicate, and leads implementation of the information systems strategic plan and vision at all levels of the organization, with a focus on data optimization and security management.
Drive innovation and introduce new technology opportunities that align with corporate and brand goals and initiatives
Maintain and exceed technological key performance indicators to manage the IT Systems and Services
Lead the organization to successful and timely project completions, driving on-time and on-budget deliverables
Maintain system documentation and configuration data for regulatory and audit purposes including PCI compliance.
Plans and executes product strategy and roadmap of restaurant solutions in collaboration with executive leadership.
Ensure continuous delivery of technology services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of technology systems performance.
Assist with the preparation of the Capital and Expense departmental budgets.
Serve as an Sr IT Sponsor with customers on issues, questions, and concerns regarding the areas within the Information Organization
REQUIREMENTS:
BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience managing key 3rd party technological strategic partnerships
Experience managing offshore development and support.
Experience with the management of enterprise IT applications and infrastructure management systems
Implementation experience on-premises systems to Cloud infrastructure and Cloud Security.
Strong understanding of cloud-based networks and mail administration
Proven commitment to talent development and creating high engagement of IT team, cultivating high performers, attracting new talent, setting/raising standards for performance and issues effectively
Must have 8-10 years of experience in the following:
Managing an IT Team and identifying new systems as needed
Microsoft Azure
Cloud O365
Cloud Security principles and implementations
Switching and Routing
PCI Compliance
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
The Sr Director of IT manages several employees of the IT department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of these employees consulting with the CIO.
