Senior Acquisition Logistics Manager supporting the The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications Integration Directorate (AFNWC/NC).
 
  • NOTE: We are looking for folks who have acquisition logistics experience which includes product sustainment planning, life-cycle sustainment planning and product support planning. I.E. if we field equipment/capability to the warfighter, we need someone who understand how to plan for maintaining and/or sustaining the equipment.
  • In this case we would also take someone with a communications maintenance background, i.e. an Air Force/Navy communications technician background or someone who maintains air/ground radios.
  • We are NOT looking for an operational logistics person who moves equipment from point A-B.

Job responsibilities include:
  1. Provide expertise in evaluating operational systems sustainment strategies and life cycle execution to include the identification of diminishing manufacturing sources and obsolescence issues. 
  2. Perform logistics management tasks that involves planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program.
  3. Support efforts that include planning and executing integrated product support elements to include: Product Support Management; Sustainment Planning; Supply Support; Maintenance Planning & Management; and Technical Data.  
  4. Support Product Support Business Case Analysis (PS-BCA), Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), and Logistics Health Assessment (LHA) efforts on operational systems. 
  5. Build and maintain relationships with NC3 operational users/maintainers. Learn NC3 platform systems and extract technical and execution data in relationship to current and future sustainment activities.  

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • SECRET clearance required
  • Familiarity with the Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements Guidebook (https://www.dau.edu/tools/t/Integrated-Product-Support-(IPS)-Element-Guidebook) and experience in any one of the seven integrated product support elements required.
  • Operational knowledge of aircraft or ground communication systems and radios would be extremely beneficial. Air Force/Navy communications maintenance technician experience a major plus. 
  • Experience with technical orders, ordering parts from supply, performing maintenance documentation, and analyzing problems to determine root cause extremely useful.
