OPEN JOB: Ultrasound Sonographer Reg I LOCATION: West Reading, Pennsylvania
SALARY: $75,129 to $120,224 FULL-TIME BENEFITS - Full RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE
Schedule:
TWO dayshifts - eight hour shifts (7:30am-4:00pm) weekdays
AND
TWO - (12 hours) 7:00am-7:30pm OR 10:30am-11:00pm weekdays
AND
ONE 10:30am-11:00pm every 4th weekend includes holiday rotation and weekday call rotation
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The sonographer performs Ultrasound procedures according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by a licensed physician or their designated health care provider.
The Sonographer provides information to the patient about the purpose of the ultrasound procedure and responds to the patient's questions and concerns.
The Sonographer recognizes the patient's individuality and provides quality care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner using professional and ethical judgment.
The diagnostic medical sonographer maintains continued competence through lifelong learning, which includes continuing education, acquisition of specialty specific credentials, and recredentialing.
The diagnostic sonographer working in the department of Radiology is required to perform diverse imaging across the spectrum of sonography.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Post High School Diploma Program
BLS Certification
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (OB or AB and RVT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) RT(S) and RT(VS)
ARDMS OR ARRT (S) if hired as a new graduate, must achieve Vascular Certification within 24 months of graduation
ARDMS or ARRT (S) hired as a experienced sonographer with 2 years or more experience must achieve Vascular certification within 12 months of hire
